It can be: anything in excess can be bad. Supplements are not regulated by FDA and can be harmful even though they may be considered "natural". There are also interactions with some you may need to worry about. Consult with a sports nutritionist may be a great way to determine your goals and therefore your needs without any interactions or unessesary pills or wasted $.

Not really bad...: ...but could be expensive. The vast majority of sport supplements and pills have no proven efficacy, and there’s no real regulation to even confirm that the ingredients listed in the package/bottle are actually in the product. So most of those items are simply wastes of money.
