Usually not!: Diarrhea is not a common problem with lactose intolerance, but does occur. It is conceivable that micronutrients such as zinc may not be absorbed. This is rare. More commonly, bloating, gas, and cramping occur. Is would be very unusual to have malnutrition secondary to lactose intolerance.
