What have you tried?: A formal program helps keep you motivated and gives you lots of emotional support. Nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum, lozenges) reduces withdrawal and should be tapered over 3 months or so. Prescribed medications like Chantix and zyban (bupropion) reduce both craving and withdrawal symptoms. Multiple attempts to quit are the rule, not the exception. Keep trying and you will succeed!
