May go away: Capillary hemangiomas will generally grow faster than the kid for about 6-10 m, slow then start to shrink down into the skin leaving a pale or parchment like surface by the age of 4.Rarely do they need any work.I it was not large at birth it will likely fade completely. Some dermatologists might treat to decrease size.Discuss your concerns with your dr ; get a 2nd opinion if u feel the need.

Do it: Being a kid is difficult enough without a visible birth defect that invites misunderstanding. Call the nearest medical school and i'll bet the dermatology department will give you a great deal.
