Dural puncture: Dural puncture cannot cause any brain damage unless there is very high CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) pressure inside the skull (increased icp - intracranial pressure), in which case the skull contents can herniate outside the skull through the foramen magnum (through which the spinal cord exits). This would be an emergency and if you are writing this, you dont have it !
