No: Virtually all pediatricians will see patients up to 18 years of age, and many will see patients up to 21 years of age.

No: Pediatricians can treat up to any age they choose. Most of us set the limit at either 18 or 22, though some choose to treat only very young patients, and some continue to see much older patients when they have certain diseases that historically have been seen only in pediatrics, such as cystic fibrosis or severe cerebral palsy.

Pediatrics : AGE: Pediatricians are usually comfortable with ages from newborn to 18 years of age. Once you have chosen the Pediatrician you can verify with their office too. Some Pediatricians are trusted by the patients for their continuing care beyond the 18 year mark.

Depends on office: While some pediatric offices stop taking care of patients when they turn a certain age (and I've heard of everything from 14 yr old to 21 yr old), others continue to take care of their patients until they finish school or until they get married and have kids of their own. Best thing to do is to ask your pediatric office what their policy is!

Not too old: Definitely not too old. I am a pediatrician in New York, and here we see patients up until their 21st birthday, unless they want to switch to an adult doctor before then. The earliest we usually recommend switching to an adult doctor is 18.
