After a month on the maximum dose of strattera (atomoxetine) \u0026#40;60 mg twice a day\u0026#41; , i don't see a benefit. does it mean it isn't effective or should i wait more ?

Probably not: It seems like a month of 120 mg/day of strattera (atomoxetine) should have provided benefits. It could be that you do not have add or that strattera (atomoxetine) is not efficacious. Long acting Ritalin can be helpful for you, less anxiety-generating than adderall. Another option is l-tyrosine- an Amino Acid that is used by body to make catecholamines- it is natural, has few side effects and doen't require a prescription.

Wait 8 weeks: Since you have embarked on a trial of strattera, (atomoxetine) i suggest waiting about 6 - 8 weeks before considering a change. Strattera (atomoxetine) is a medication that works for some but not all. It's effectiveness does take time to realize. After a full two months, if still not helpful, i would suggest discussing other options with your physician.

Strattera (atomoxetine): Long enough to warrant discussing other alternative medications with your doctor.

Atomoxetine: Although you may start to appreciate some benefits of taking Atomoxetine within a few weeks, it may take 4 to 8 weeks to get the maximum benefit on the appropriate dose.
