Space Closurure: There is no easy answer to your question. Time necessary for space closure varies greatly for many reasons including amount of dental crowding and rotations, age of the patient, which jaw (upper jaw generally closes faster than lower), individual variations of the patients, muscle habits present, amount of bone support and density root length and anatomy amongst other factors.

Sounds right: If you need to have 4 teeth removed it does take time for the teeth to move properly and have the right alignment between the upper and lower teeth

Everyone's different: Ask your Orthodontic Specialist about your unique circumstances. Generally closing extracting spaces take 1/3 to 1/2 of overall treatment time. The remaining time is used to get teeth to fit and function ideally.

Depends: on a host of factors that can not really be accurately determined without seeing your mouth. that said, i suspect most of the gaps should be closed after about a year or so. best to ask your orthodontist!
