Too much removed: That's a troublesome complication of turbinectomy when too much was removed. This leaves the nose too open and dried up . I believe this is called the "empty nose syndrome". Since this can not be reversed, you will need to use nasal gel and saline spray to keep the nose moisturized. Turbinectomy should be the last resort and reserved for turbinates which fail to shrink down with afrin.
