Yes, it does: Buprenorphine will block the pain-relieving effects of other opioid drugs (like morphine, oxycodone etc.) and if your doctors anticipate that you are going to have moderate to severe pain, the recommendation is to stop the Suboxone 2-3 days before, so that their pain medicines will work. Talk to your Suboxone prescriber about coordinating care with the people treating your anal problems.
