Why botox?: Only indications for Botox injections in the hand are, raynauds disease to improve circulation to the finger, or for writers cramp of the thenar musculature. Do you have either one? Botox injections are extremely small volume injections with a very small needle and usually not painful.

Why in the fingers?: Why are you getting Botox in the fingers? Are you taking about hand injections for excessive sweaty palms?If thats the case, then yes there is some discomfort and everybody is different, but the needles are very small and typically are more bothersome than painful. Numbing cream can definitely help. Another option is to have your surgeon perform a nerve block which will make the whole hand numb
