Depends: Really depends on how the abdominal ct is set up by the technician. Usually you are able to see the lung bases in an abdominal ct scan.

Probably less than..: It's true the lower part of lungs can be visualized on ct/mri of abdomen, usually only limited to some less than 20% of their total, that is the area behind the liver, depending upon how the protocol of conducting the imaging study. So, the lower part of lungs is included so liver can be fully visualized. Such carries no clinical harm to the patients for daily diagnostic use. More? Ask doctor..
