When was accident?: Blunt chest trauma can be serious. If the force was enough to fracture the sternum, you should be hospitalized for at least observation for a period of time, to check cardiac injury tests, check the cardiac rhythm (electrocardiogram) and possibly an echocardiogram. Mitral valve regurgitation, per se, is not a risk factor for worse injury after blunt trauma.

Nothing further: If all of your procedures were negative you were adequately worked up. If you develop new symptoms then I would have them repeat the electrocardiogram and do a CT (more diagnostic than MRI) of the chest
