Zyrtec/xyzal daily: You can try zytec daily or every other day or if your insurance company allows, use xyzal (levocetirizine) daily or every other day. Since it is random issue (every 1-2 months) it may be better to try every other day. Once it does occur, use daily. You may add Zantac 150 mg 2 times a day for added benefit.

See allergist: Consult an allergy/immunology specialist who can test for underlying conditions which cause angioedema (ae). If any exist then treating the underlying condition will prevent ae. If no underlying cause found then there are many medications which can be used in combination to control the ae. There are several new meds available for ae which may be useful.
