Why?: Pediasure literature says that the product is not intended for children under age 2. It's probably safe for an 18-month-old, but you child isn't going to get significantly malnourished in the 7-10 days it will take for her to regain her appetite. If you keep her well-hydrated with water and fruit juices, an expensive nutritional supplement isn't really necessary.
