You will not OD: Since you vomited about a minute after taking tylenol, (acetaminophen) that means it was not absorped much and you can repeat the dose and it will not cause any od.

I agree with your MD: Nice rhyme, right? Seriously, you should be able to take the tylenol (acetaminophen) again, as you probably lost all or most in the emesis. You won't od on a single dose unless you took a severely large dose. Now, tylenol (acetaminophen) is not particularly effective against inflammatory pain such as post op pain or arthritis. It's good for fever, though. Alternatives for pain include advil and aleve (use generic ) good luck.
