Arthritis: An acetabulum fracture is a hip joint fracture. By definition, all joint fractures are subject to post-traumatic arthritis. Groin pain is how hip arthritis presents. If the fracture is still in the healing phase, the groin pain may represent a loose body or fragment of bone (from the fracture) trapped in the joint. This is bad and should be addressed if present to prevent rapid onset arthritis.
