I guess pain: "hip/pelvis stress fracture" a curious medical diagnosis & one this doctor has never heard for symptoms in these structurally firm bone regions. Fractures (cracks) in these bones by & large occur from significant trauma & not from repetative biomechanical "stress"; unless person has severely advanced demineralization or wasting of bone mass & integrity from advanced age and/or a specific disease.

Several months: A stress fracture in the hip is more serious than almost any other stress fractures. It will take several months to heal and is unusual in that it is one of the few stress fractures that may require surgical fixation to allow the best result.
