Bronchospasm: I am sure you do not need a physician to tell you that you need a new inhaler and given your symptoms you best get that from your doctor when you go in urgently to be evaluated for your current illness.

Um, duh?: Ok, you need seen by a dr. Since you can't breathe! you used an old inhaler (likely a rescue, like albuterol), and got better...Need a new one from your dr or urgent care or er--depending on how bad it is. When chest cannot expand effectively, in your case, probably due to bronchospasm (which might be allergies or asthma), it acts like it is harder (/heavier) to breathe. Get seen asap!
