Son visited pediatrician for shortness of breath during athletic activity. no tests/xrays done..just inhaler. still worried. should i get 2nd opinion?

Common issue & rx: Exercise triggered shortness of breath (bronchospasm) is a rather common finding in teens & pre-teens.They may or may not have ever had similar asthma like problems with other triggers. It is routine to give a kid an inhaler (& proper instruction on use) to see if this helps. You could spend time with a pulmonologist if you could find one that treats kids & have expensive lung tests. You decide.
