A member asked:

Would a newborn baby be at any risk living with someone infected with the hiv virus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Unless being breast fed by an hiv+ mother or sexually abused a newborn baby is unlikely to acquire HIV from casual contact with an hiv+ person. This is not a disease which is easy to get. It requires some form of intimate contact.
