A member asked:

I have 1st interspinous ligament inflammation@ 5cm below c7, now do exercise. is this ligament able to restore itself to original condition over time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: Usually ligaments heal with scar tissue which is different material than the original ligaments usually. However this does not affect the stability of the spine. Once it heals the pain and tenderness will improve . Nothing to worry about after that. Very rarely one could get chronic pain from that requiring treatment.
