If it hurts when: You are walking the most likely thing in the absence of fever would be sacroiliitis, inflammation of the sacroiliac joint. If you were running a fever and there is tenderness where the last rib meets your spine, then i would be concerned about a kidney infection. If you are walking and you feel like the pain is shooting down the back of your leg then i would suspect you were suffering from sciatica. Most likely however you have pulled a muscle. If it continues then see your family doctor.Best wishes.Oh, and if it gets the point where it feels like you're delivering a baby, then it's a kidney stone.
