A member asked:

My husband and i are trying to conceive. what is the earliest to test for pregnancy? and what test is best to buy that will give early results?

No preference: All of the home tests are comparable and potentially can turn positive even before you have missed a period. Hormone levels rise and become detectable about 8 days after conception, although only a blood test will detect them at the earliest stage. 10 to 12 days after conception is about the best you can do with home tests.
