M.D. visit: Your daughter may have an infection of the eye which is treatable. I would suggest that your pediatrician examine her first. If they can not determine the cause, then a referral to the ophthalmologist can be made. If your child experiences changes in vision, pain in the eye, redness or swelling, then an urgent visit is indicated. I hope this helps.
