Near Syncope...: Syncope, the medical term for "passing out" occurs often after some stimulus, like severe pain (knee), the sight of blood or other high adrenaline states. The vision fade was due to low blood flow to the brain from the near syncope. It is a reflex between the heart and the brain, hence the name: neuro-cardiogenic syncope. You need a tilt table test from a cardiologist.
