A member asked:

Found an ovarian cyst, 5cm. there's nothing 3 mts ago- growing quickly. thick wall.possibly chocolate, doc said. any ways to ease pain? need surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Surgery: If doctor thinks you have a chocolate cyst (endometriosis), then the best thing is surgery. These don't go away on their own and the endometriosis can cause scarring and more problems in the pelvis (and sometimes infertility). I would recommend a laparoscopic cystectomy (removal of cyst only, not ovary). This is minimally invasive and could prevent future problems.
