My d dimer level is 499. in nov it was 278. i did have a superficial blood clot last week. is it possible it's becoming a dvt? what does this mean?

D dimer test: D dimer on it's own does not tell you there is a clot or not neithrr the clot is spreading or dissolving it has false positive and false negative you need to correlate the clinical picture with doppler studies to come to a conclusion the test is obsolete without correlation with what have just mentined.
