Hip pain: No surgery has a 100% success rate so unfortunately yes, it is possible that the surgery "failed" to alleviate your pain - even if the surgery was technically successful, with no complications. You should, however, ask your surgeon if it's possible you may have an infection in the joint. Talk to your surgeon, and if would make you feel better, don't hesitate to seek another opinion.
