Fracture: There are many causes of non healing fracture. Infection or was it displaced? Do you have osteoporosis? Do you smoke?Did you have another injury? Talk to your orthopedics dr.

See trauma...: Non- unions of the acetabulum are uncommon. More common are mal- unions( fracture healed in non- anatomic position).Fracture non- unions are more common (in general)in smokers, patients who have atherosclerosis( less blood flow), and people w/ multiple medical problems. In your case i would do some research and find the nearest orthopedic trauma surgeon( who has experience in reconstructive surg)gl.

Multipl factors: When a bone fails to heal (nonunion) there can be a number of factors. Some may be systemic such as poor nutrition or smoking. Others may be due to the fracture or the treatment of the fracture itself. Surgical treatment is often required for acetabular fractures. Sometimes nonunion may be the result of no surgical treatment. Evaluation for nonunion should consider both local and systemic factors.
