Eye exam: The bright lights you are seeing could be an ocular migraine, this will result in flashing lights (scintillating scotoma) ; possible temporary vision loss ; may be followed by a headache. See your eye doctor to rule out a retinal problem as lights could be due to retinal tear, vitreous or retinal detachment. This could result in vision loss, especially if trauma, fam hx, or severe nearsightedness.
