That's unprofessional and unethical. Maybe you asked a technician or salesperson? If you bring this to the attention of the professional in charge (an optometrist or maybe ophthalmologist), s/he probably would want to know and likely would discipline the employee. (I'm not expert in understanding these numbers. Perhaps an optometrist or ophthalmologist will also reply; or post it again.)
