A member asked:

Does having an asthma attack affects the eye? that is causing itching.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergy trigger: Since frequently asthma attacks are triggered by environmental allergens (dust, insect droppings, pet danders, etc), then these same allergens could cause eye allergy symptoms, including the itching you describe. Talk to doc or allergist about systemic antihistamines/allergy meds versus local meds like allergy eye drops. Both have pros and cons and need to be discussed for your individual symptoms.
