Sciatica: Pain in the distribution as you suggested describes the pattern of the nerve that travels in the leg called the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is not the cause of the pain source, it is the result of an irritated nerve typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist.

Mid and low back pain at night and morning, hips hurt, not due to injury, not relieved by aleve or changing positions. Came on suddenly and getting worse, unable to sleep, causes nausea. What can cause this? No history of any back issues.
I have constant mild to moderate back and hip pain. A recent X-ray shows mild arthritis on back. when I take Aleve, the pain significantly subsides. I recently had an ANA test, and the results were positive at 1:160 speckled. What can this mean?
