Consult Doctor: Be sure your provider is aware of your medication and dosage. A good rule of thumb is to never stop taking medicines prescribed by a doctor with out a consultation first. Your provider very well may make the phone call for you.

Call prescriber: Clopridogel has anticoaggulant properties. Was this medication prescribed to you by your physician to help prevent stroke or heart attack? If so, your prescriber must consult with your dentist regarding dosage and dangers of stopping the medication for a few days.

Check first: Without knowing your Medical history it's impossible to advise. Always make sure that every Physician and Dentist that you see has a complete list of any and all prescription and OTC meds, vitamins, minerals, supplements, homeopathic, that you take. Ask the prescribing doctor and the treating doctor to consult with each other to arrive at the safest and most effective med level for you.
