A member asked:

How effective is a dental extraction for treating a cavity?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Best to save tooth: The only time a tooth should be extracted is when it is non-restorable or impacted and with problems. Extractions will treat cavities but are an extreme last resort treatment option.
