A member asked:

How common is white coat hypertension in adults?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common: Probably 20% or more of the hypertension we measure in the office is not found on 24 hour monitoring but it should be addressed as it isn't only a "white coat" that can cause an elevation of blood pressure. Depending on the numbers you my well be hypertensive and need treatment, if only life style modification.Google : dash diet.
