EKG low voltage: Low voltage means that what are called the qrs complexes are smaller than usual. There are many possible reasons, including a barrel chest, copd, cardiomyopathy, infiltrative diseases, severe hypothyroidism, pericardial effusion, obesity, to name a few. Sometimes no significant underlying reason is found. Discuss with your doctor for clarification of your particular situation.
