Headache vs muscle: If it is a tender spot only, and not the whole back of your head, it is likely a pressure injury or some type of trauma (you smacked your head on the car getting in/out, for example). If it is the whole back of your head, it could be a tension headache. Go get a massage, ibuprofen, heat, etc. If it is really bothering you, you should go see your doctor for evaluation. Good luck!
