Had severe vertigo attacks two days in a row, when waking up. as soon as i raised my head off the pillow. any ideas on the cause?

It could be a viral labyrinthitis, which like most viral infections goes away after a few days. 2 days of vertigo is like 2 days of a cold: inconvenient but just be a patient patient & wait it out.
