The Taste of things.: As we get older the number of receptors on the tongue, palate, and back of throat decline in number. And children have many, many, more receptors then the parents and grandparents. Which is why a little dab of hot sauce burns the dickins in your mouth but not your mom or dad. A suggestion to improve the taste of food for your mum is to use spicy additives: plain ole tobasco sauce works well.
