See a doctor: The flu lasts 7 days and not cause of coughing up blood. Needs to be seen by someone and a chest x-ray.

See a physician: Coughing blood is something that needs to be treated asap. She has an infection, which may be secondary to her flu and should be evaluated to determine the best treatment protocols. If she has currently been on antibiotics, the white patches may be yeast overgrowth.
