Not cancer, curable: Most pituitary tumor are not cancer, but are benign. There are many different cell types in pituitary tumors. These tumors can be treated with surgery, or in some cases with medications like bromocriptine for pituitary tumors that secrete prolactin (cause breast milk leakage and can cause infertility).
