A member asked:

My blood test report shows hav igg & hbsab as reactive. sgot-56.9 & sgpt-167.2. high cholesterol also came in report. is there major reason to worry?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Be very concerned: Rather than worry, insist that your physician figure out why you have elevated transaminases. With these ; only these labs, you have hepatitis c, hemochromatosis, wilson's or autoimmune hepatitis until proved otherwise. All are treatable, but not by worry. You may simply have non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. I do trust you're alcohol-free at this point. Hit the gym hard ; continue the workup.
