I have been dipping for a year. i'm 16. behind my left ear hurts and it hurts to swallow. however i was sick a week and a half ago. is it oral cancer?

Sore throat: You are a little bit too young for having oral cancer-although i saw somebody with oral cancer at his 20's-30's. It may be an infection on the throat. Go to see your md to get checked. You need to stop your habit of dipping., i recommend you to stop smoking, chewing tobacco and drinking alcohol as those increase your risk to have oral cancer/head and neck ca. Also, you would need hpv vaccination.

Oral cancer: The pain that you are experiencing is swallowing is most likely a viral illness and it should go away soon. The chance of you having oral cancer is almost zero. Drinking and tobacco use together increases your chances of developing oral cancer over time. Stop these bad habits a better, healthier life.
