Oral surgery: The best person to answer that question should be the doctor who will be removing your teeth. The tongue bar or ball at the end of it could contact the site where the teeth are removed, which could complicate the healing process as well as cause discomfort. Personally, i would remove the tongue piercing, and then replace it after complete healing. Please consider not replacing it at all!

Take it out anyways: I would take out the piercing prior to the extractions and would recommend not putting it back in. The tongue piercing can contribute to tmj/tmd issues, tongue thrust- moving the teeth forward and infections. Why take the chance.
