Unlikely: It is unusual but very possible that gerd or acid reflux can occur in your age group. But it is very unlikely that burping will cause injury to your pharynx (throat). I would strongly suggest that you see a pediatric or adult GI (gastro-enterologist) for proper diagnosis. There are many drugs available to decrease acid in the stomach. Some of the other symptoms may be anxiety.

Acid reflux : Acid reflux can be damaging over time. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms. Do you also snore? Have you been evaluated for sleep apnea? Is your. Diet healthy? Do, you drink a lot of soda or caffeine? Thing to talk to your doctor about.
