GERD to THROAT: To prevent GERD -- eat smaller meals, chew more thoroughly, make posture straighter, get up and walk after eating, sip water during and after eating, eat less meat. AND of course, take acid blocker or acid reducer each evening 30 min before eating, such as omeprazole or Pepcid (famotidine). Both are OTC.
