This morning my wife woke up with a small bruise under her left eye. she has no other symptoms and it doesn't hurt at all. should we be worried?

Not worried.: This happens occasionally. That part of the face can be bruised easily in sleep and it is quite easy to see. Unless she has continued issues with easy bruising I would not be worried.
