Persistent cough: In a child less than three years old. Depends on what is causing the cough. Most oftentimes it is due to allergies , colds, virus, sinus infection , chemicals, environmental elements or could be reactive airway disease (rad).No approved medications for "cough" per se but , rad and allergies can be treated with prescription from your pediatrician. As always, drink plenty of fluids.
